La Passion!

Passion… a feeling of intense enthusiasm towards, or compelling desire for someone or something. It can range from an eager interest in, admiration for an idea, proposal or cause, to enthusiastic enjoyment of an interest or activity, to a strong attraction, excitement or emotion towards a person.

It’s also a willingness to sacrifice for what you love. It could be what no one else sees. For what ever reason you have, maybe for the love of it, or you want to prove that secondary school teacher wrong. Whatever it is, it is valid.

So, what do you see that no one else does?

Don’t know your passions ?

Finding what you are passionate about is a journey in itself. Don’t be frustrated if you feel like you don’t know it yet. Keep trying new things. It will come, even if you have to build it. The major misconception most people have is that it is something that’s been in you since birth and you have to find it, but your passion can be anything.

Luckily the first step on how to find it is fairly easy and requires about 30 minutes of alone time to answer these key questions:

—What do friends, coworkers, and/or family seek your input on?

—What skills seem to come naturally to you?

—How could you use those skills to potentially make a living?

—What’s an activity that, when immersed in it, you lose track of time?

—What’s one moment or accomplishment that made you feel really confident? What were you doing, and what part of it brought you the most joy?

—What top three things did you truly enjoy doing or working on today?

Remember, the sky is the limit when answering these questions, so don’t be afraid to answer them as creatively as you’d like.

Why’s it important to have passion for what you desire?

You see, I like to draw, but I don’t have the determination to sit for hours or days on end, capturing every single detail that makes a master piece, or the patience to start all over again when my paint accidentally smudges. That’s why I’m not as good as I can be. I don’t have passion for it.

However, if you have something that increases your drive for what you desire, improves your patience and tolerance till you become excellent at it, then that’s passion right there!
