RECOGNISING OUR HIGHLY DISTINGUISHED ENTREPRENEUR THIS MAY- KALE NUKA.

KALE NUKA, 300 LEVEL

“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.” – Nolan Bushnell

Kale Nuka is a 300 level student of the department of medicine and surgery and an entrepreneur. Kale Nuka stood out this year in the midst of its challenges, she put up the KC love challenge during valentine and bagged two awards during the ABUA awards. She has been in for other nominations as well. Truly, hardwork pays. Apart from being an entrepreneur, she has a God fearing and inspiring personality and very humble too. I hope you will he inspired by reading about her life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and tell us about you ?

Kale: Hi, I’m Kale Nuka, 20yrs old, I was born on 5th of April. I am from Rivers state. I love swimming, playing basketball, meeting new people and making new friends, learning new things too. I love family, I love God and I love to pray. My hobbies are reading books (none academic though), making beads and accessories. I dislike malice, looking down on people, being angry generally, emotional issues. Anything that keeps me from smiling.

How did your start Kales collections:

Kale: Kales collectionz started out as a hobby, I did it for leisure, whenever I was stressed from academic work. Then sometimes I would sell what I made but over time, I got the desire to build, to make it better and take it serious. So on the 1st of June 2016 I called it a name and started it off officially

What inspired you?

Kale: My inspiration is the proverbs 31 woman, she became a close friend of mine last year. She is a woman of excellence, hardworking, handy, fears God, shrewd in business, and still keeps her family together. I must confess that when I look at her, I know I still have a long way to go. I look forward to being a woman who can balance all aspects, (being a Doctor, a mother, an entrepreneur, a friend, a mentor and leader) and still be successful and excellent in all. It’s huge but am getting there. Secondly, I hope that one day other countries will begin to crave our bags, shoes, jewelry, hats, belts… our Nigerian products in general. So this inspires me to work towards attaining the kind of quality of products that will draw international attention and boost our economy.

How long has it been since you started:

Kales collectionz has been About 9months now

 Have you had any challenges:

Kale: It’s really time consuming especially for me as a medical student.

How successfull has it been:

Kale: We have people buying our things from different parts of the country. Also the valentines specials “Kc love challenge” is a success too. We have alliance with companies like Pandora and Gnats and Epic. We’ve also been involved in trade fairs and exhibitions and its has been successful. We are reaching out more.

You were recently nominated for awards during the ABUA awards. Can you tell us about it?

Kale: I was nominated for most enterprising female during the ABUA awards which I won. I also won most creative. I have been nominated for the campus heat awards in the most enterprising category.

Any advice for upcoming entrepreneur:

Kale: My advice to upcoming entrepreneurs: 1. Hear what people have to say but choose carefully who you listen to… 2.Don’t entertain negative vibes… 3. It’s not a crime to start small. Lastly if someone says your dream is impossible, it’s thier impossibility not yours. Nothing is impossible.
